Christian Sex Therapy

GOD'S DESIGN

Let's start with the principle that sex is God’s idea and was designed by Him.

God created us, and He created us as sexual beings.

God guides us so that sex can enjoy sex to its fullest potential.

God wants us to be at peace with our sexuality.

SEXUALLY LOST

If we sexually stray for God's plan, sex can quickly become the source of unending pain and strife. When God’s gift is abused or distorted by our own personal choices or by the harmful action of others, the outcomes are full of hurt, shame, secrecy, and the destruction of your most precious relationship.

The consequences can feel devastating.

THERE IS HOPE

Because we serve a loving God, we can heal our most broken parts of our lives. And this certainly includes our sexuality.

We help couples in the following areas:

  • Uneven or low sexual desire, understanding and addressing the reasons including low libido, fatigue, busyness, lack of emotional connection, physical pain, and beliefs about sex

  • Sexual fulfillment, including learning to enjoy sex, reaching orgasm, erectile disfunction, and premature ejaculation

  • Sexual self-confidence (feeling personally adequate)

  • Sexual couples-confidence (feeling confidence with each other)

  • Sexual trauma, including recovery from sexual abuse, rape or other sexual violations

  • Sexual physical pain / dyspareunia / vaginismus (pain only at sexual entry/penetration, pain with every penetration, including putting in a tampon, deep pain during thrusting, burning pain or aching pain, throbbing pain lasting hours after intercourse)

  • Sexual emotional pain (pain related to concerns about physical appearance, fear of intimacy, wounds from past relationships, and/or stress)

  • Pornography and Sex addiction (understanding the hold pornography or sexual acting-out behaviors can have by glamorizing sex and normalizing lust. Using compassionate Christian counseling to release the shame and restore boundaries, safety and healthy sex.)
